This volume contains the record of crown and civil pleas for the City of London held before five royal justices in eyre at the Tower of London in 1276 (BL Additional Charter 5153) together with an exchequer summons listing all the people fined or amerced in the eyre (Corporation of London Record Office Roll BB). The cases examined by the justices include pleas arising from abjurations of the realm, deaths by misadventure, felonies, homicides, theft and coin clipping. There is a introduction explaining the nature and significance of the cases examined together with a full index of persons, places and subjects.
