The documents printed in this volume are concerned with political radicalism in London during the period 1830-43 and have been selected from the papers of Francis Place now in the British Library. Francis Place not only belonged to most of the major radical. movements in London during this period, but he was also an active leader in them and had contacts with important political reformers throughout the country. There is a full index to the people and topics covered in Plaice’s voluminous collection of correspondence and pamphlets.
