This volume contains a calendar of the London Port Book for 1567/8 (TNA E190/4/2), recording native and Hanse imports, together with a number of other documents illustrating the port and trade of London in the early years of Elizabeth I’s reign. Also included in the volume is an extensive descriptive list of the commodities being traded in the port of London, together with the value of the different imports. There is a description, and a plan, of the different London quays and a full index of places, the ship masters, their ships and the  merchants  who traded in and out of the port of London in these years.
