In this volume are collected together the various documents which illuminate the history of the Spanish Company, first incorporated by royal charter in 1530. These include the Register Book of the Company covering the years 1604-1606 (BL Additional MS 9365), The Book of Oaths  and Ordinances of the Company  drawn up in 1605 (Bodleian Library, Rawlinson C.178) and the new charter of 1605. The full introduction provides a history of the first Spanish Company (1530-1585) and the revived Company (1604-1606). There is a full index of the persons and places mentioned in the texts.
